Race Details
The Recreational 3-mile course will include 12'5 and under Surf /Stock Boards, 12'6" Race/Touring Boards and 14' Race/Touring and will have two divisions: Men's and Wahine.
Four age divisions for the recreational class:
14 - 34
35 - 49
50 - 65
65+
The Elite 7-mile competition course will have 3 divisions in Mens and Wahine: 12'6 and under Surf/Stock, 12'6" Race/Touring, 14' & + Race/Touring. Prizes to the winners of the Open divisions 1st through 3rd place.
Trophies will be awarded to both Men & Wahine all divisions, 1st through 3rd place.

Youth race 13 years old or less.

Race entry fee includes free ticket to the McGladrey Classic official PGA Tour Event, 1 raffle ticket, t-shirt and lunch.
Race Venue
The start and finish gate will be located at the main beach area (in front of Saint Simons Surf Sailors Facility) on Each Beach. This will be a beach start out to a buoy located 50 yards from the beach then turn south and run just off the beach around the island (see photo inset) and then around the electrical tower in front of the Seaside Golf Course and back to the finish gate.
The recreational race will utilize the same start down the beach around a buoy and then to another buoy just above the start gate. The entire race will be inside the sandbar.

“Race Directors have the option to omit any of the standardized categories if they so choose depending on regional challenges such as number of entrants, conditions etc. These are recommended guidelines available from the WPA, but they are going to now be to categories that WPA will both sanction and rank against”Participants to Support a Class
a) Trophy- A minimum of 3 participants is needed to make a class in any division to trophy.
b) Ranking- A minimum of 5 participants is needed in any division to receive ranking points.
c) A race director has the right to offer options a and b if they do not receive the minimum required participation as stated.
Points will be given to the top 10 finishers in each division of the selected six races in each region
